Overview of Topic
"We are
all familiar with the critical role Risk Management plays in the Quality Process. Risk
Management is a fundamental discipline in excellent project management, and even more so
in our Quality and Reengineering Initiatives. But how often have we considered the
Operational Risk resulting from the business processes we improve or reengineer? It is not
uncommon that cost and customer service improvements can come at the expense of a more
brittle operational process. Operational Risk Management and Quality Management should be
complementary disciplines rather than work across purposes from each other. This
presentation will discuss ways that these management disciplines can work together more
effectively."
