Orange County Clerk of Courts - Winning the Sterling Award

“Sharing Our Sterling Journey:  Our Results and What We Learned”

Presented by:

Alphonso Jefferson, Jr.

Administrator – Support Services Department

Orange County Clerk of Courts

Orange County Clerk of Courts was proud to be a recipient of the 2008 Governor’s Sterling Award.  The Sterling Award is presented to organizations that have
successfully met the Governor’s Sterling Council Criteria for Performance Excellence, a framework that closely mirrors that of the national Baldrige model.
Orange County Clerk of Courts is a constitutional office of the state of Florida with the Clerk, The Honorable Lydia Gardner, serving as an elected official in the
Ninth Judicial Circuit.  With a workforce of more than 600 deputy clerks, the Clerk’s services include court support, case maintenance, data reporting, customer
assistance and collection and disbursement of court fines and fees.  For OCCC, going after the Sterling Award was a multi-year commitment.

Our presenter, Alphonso Jefferson, will share their journey along with some of the results, outcomes, and the learnings that the organization has gained from this initiative.
