Mitsubishi Power
Systems has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Engineer
with manufacturing and/or repair experience at its facility located in
Orlando Florida. The ideal candidate will utilize QA/QC principles to
maintain high capacity utilization and optimize manufacturing and repair
operations ensuring products meet customer requirements. Below are some
of the essential duties and responsibilities of the position:
· Bachelor's
degree (BA) in Engineering from four-year college or university; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
·
The position requires
certification as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality
Engineer (CQE), within six months of employment. Additional
certifications in Nondestructive Testing and/or Welding Inspection (AWS/CWI)
are highly desirable.
·
-Strong
manufacturing/industrial background with the ability to understand
drawings, and apply statistical process control (SPC), design of
experiments, gauge repeatability and reproducibility, sampling
techniques, and other advanced statistical methods.
· -
Assist in establishing and
maintaining information systems along with creating reports.
·
-Perform root cause analysis.
·
-Lead corrective and
preventive action initiatives.
·
-Ensure ISO compliance by
maintaining/creating processes and documentation.
·
-Perform and report
ISO/quality audits (internal and external).
·
-Use SPC on applicable
manufacturing/repair operations to determine process stability and
verify proper implementation of process control.
·
-Collect and analyze data to
eliminate redundant or unnecessary processes and improve existing
processes (minimize rework and scrap). Ability to identify and interpret
trends in data.
·
-Serve as a key member on the Material Review Board and assist in
determining material as being rework or scrap along with other
associated duties.
·
-Ensure
material requisitions and certifications meet requirements of material
specifications.
·
-Finalize product inspection procedures.
·
-Assist in performing process
qualification/validation and capability analysis. A key person in
approving process changes and creating processes for new products.
·
-Ensure proper use of tool and
gauging and that calibration requirements are met.
·
-Establish quality related
training programs and techniques.
·
-Perform other such duties as
may be required.

Position:
Quality Assurance Engineer, Sr. or Quality
Manager
Overview:
Candidate will be responsible for planning
and implementing quality assurance policies, procedures and initiatives
to meet the Company’s strategic goals. This includes multiple ISO
certifications, FDA-GMP, quality systems audits, quality production
controls/metrics, new product introduction and new process validations.
A strong Analytical Lab background is required. Compensation will
include base salary and bonus.

Primary Responsibilities:
·
Learn and understand the
Company’s global strategy, operating processes and procedures.
·
Develop, document and
implement an effective multi-site Quality Mgmt System that achieves
multiple ISO certifications, FDA-GMP and meets national and
international Envir. Health & Safety regulatory compliance.
·
Provide QA support and/or
authorization for new product introduction, new process validation and
batch-lot release process. Familiarity with a ‘stage-gate’ new product
introduction methodology is preferred.
·
Technically interface with
internal and external Analytical Labs to define test plans, interpret
test results and implement actions based on the analytical findings for
animal feed, bio-fuel and water quality test results.
·
Develop, document and
implement Quality Assurance processes and procedures that will enable
licensees of the Company’s process technology to operate their
facilities such that they perform consistently within defined process
control limits and deliver products that consistently meet or exceed
specifications.
·
Support/mentor and implement
disciplined problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives based
on root-cause analysis and closed-loop corrective action methodologies.
Desired Qualifications:
·
Bachelor's degree in
Industrial or Chemical Engineering or Biology. A background in
Agriculture, Fluid- systems and Live-organism systems experience is
strongly preferred. Other appropriate disciplines considered.
·
5+ years (for Engineer), 10+
years (for Manager) experience in Quality Assurance.
·
Fluent in Analytical Lab
(proximate, microbiological, amino acids, elemental) test methodologies
and can form solid product and production process action plans based on
the test results.
·
Strong ISO and/or FDA GMP
experience in a large-scale commercial fluid- systems process business
within the last 3 years.
·
Committed to facts-and-logic,
data-driven root-cause analysis, closed-loop management methods.
·
Fluent in MS
Office/Project/Visio, statistical problem-solving and analysis tools,
value-stream mapping, web-based workflow management, etc.
·
Comfortable working in a fast
paced, entrepreneurial environment.
·
A team player with excellent
interpersonal, verbal, oral and written communication skills.
